# Hard Drives: Big and fast is best, plan for expansion. Serial ATA in a Stripped RAID 0 configuration is a good cost performance compromise. Start with one drive, add more drives if you need more speed or space. Since all drives must be identical, make the first drive the fastest performance (RPM, transfer rate, and seek time) that you can afford. Note that the best drives also come with a longer warranty (usually 5 years).

hardovi sto veceg kapaciteta, brzi, po mogucstvu vezani u RAID 0 sistem-dobar odnos cena/performanse...trebace ti dva identicna harda, pa biraj najbrze sto mozes...mozda ako se ima kinta ubaciti i neki SSD flash hard disk (solid state drive) za OS i Inventor + veci hard za podatke, mada su jos skupi u odnosu na klasicne hardove-oni sa SandForce SF1200 kontrolerom su trenutno medju najpopularnijim, naravno i Intel pravi svoj veoma dobar SSD X-25 serije)

za grafu se preporucuje neka workstation ranga-znaci nVidia Quadro ili ATi Fire Pro/FireGL...gledati da ima dovoljno memorije na grafickoj kartici, koji je memorijski interfejs-128-bita je neki minimum po mom misljenju, i da je ddr3 memorija)

Kod nas se trenutno u Srbiji povoljno mogu naci recimo entry-level malo starija QuadroFX 380 za nekih 85-90 eur nova ili nVQuadro 600 za nekih 150 eur...nazalost, FirePro/FireGL niko ne drzi, morao bi da se kontaktira zvanicni uvoznik za AMD ili njihova kancelarija u BG-u
Ovo bi mogao biti i neki opsti vodic za nabavku hardvera za firme i pojedince koji nameravaju da se ubuduce profi bave CAD/CAM/CAE-om...sistemski zahtevi za buduce verzije svih CAD programa nece sigurno biti nizi od ovih navedenih za Inventor 2011, mogu da idu samo navise
Dalje, probaj da koristis svoj program tako da ucitavas samo podsklopove koji su ti neophodni za rad, ostalo ostavljaj u "lightwave" modu, samo kao graficki prikaz, bez ucitavanja kompletne strukture part-a u memoriju, dosta ce olaksati rad kad masina krene da stuca, drasticno ce skratiti Rebuild-Time sklopa
Pogledaj u HELP-u nesto kao "large assembly management" poglavlja, tu ima dosta o tome kako sebi olaksati rad u masivnim sklopovima
Ovaj "olaksani" mod prikaza masivnih assembly-ja danas ima svaki CAD, ili barem napravi konfiguraciju sklopa tako da ucitava samo najneophodnije podsklopove i delove za editovanje i izmene
Na ovoj stranici imas gotove konfiguracije/laptopove sa specificiranim delovima, procesorom, kolicinom sistemske memorije, grafickom karticom (vendori Dell,HP,Fujitsu,Lenovo, Toshiba) pa pogledaj u tabelama npr. kolone Part Rebuild Time i Assembly Rebuild Time, i dobices neku predstavu o mogucim konfiguracijama za tebe
